Varieties
Alfalfa
High quality, high elevation alfalfa hay with moderate stem size. We cut our hay before the flower blooms completely to ensure the alfalfa is at peak protein.
Grass
Available in straight orchard grass or a five-way straight grass mix. Our grass hay is horse quality with no weeds.
Grass and Alfalfa Mix
An orchard grass alfalfa mix that ranges between 50:50 and 80:20.The grass is used to lower the sugar content of the Alfalfa.
Oats
Our oats are typically not baled until late July. We ensure quality by not fertilizing to avoid nitrate and to cut when there is milk in the seed pods to keep the grain connected during the baling to raise protein level. Tests are available upon request.
